Congratulations:
- Chris Anderson KO6EAH Extra
- Daniel Pandrea KE6DUW General
- Yeshe Phang KN6ZDY General
I would like to thank Our VE’s W6WHC, WK3Y, KK6VZZ, KK6QPU and of course KE6JGM for conducting this months testing session.
I’d also like to thank everyone who came out for our first workshop here at my QTH.
And thank you KO6ALP for assisting with our pi-star workshop.
KO6ALP has agreed to conduct a APRS workshop in September after testing.
FYI, we also welcome off topic workshop visitors as well.
KK6VZZ came by with some very nice mobile antennas.
I checked them out with my nano vna and was able to give him the good news.
I’m really looking forward to KO6ALP demonstrating APRS.
I hope to see a good size group for APRS in September.
Due to concerns raise by membership, our scheduled POTA event for August 17th @ Lake Perris Recreational Park is postponed to either November this year, or early next year.
We want to provide a great POTA experience at Lake Perris and it was clear that August was going to be a problem for a number of reasons. Thank you to all of you who went out to the park in advance of the event and provided feedback. Updates will be provided in the near future. Shirts will be made once it’s back on the calendar.

Bob Brehm, AK6R

Bob Brehm, AK6R is Chief Engineer of Palomar Engineers (www.Palomar-Engineers.com), and has been a ham for over 50 years with experience.
Bob Brehm is often asked to speak at conventions and radio club meetings about RFI, antenna matching, using baluns, stealth antennas, amplitude modulation, RTTY/digital modes, ESSB, ham radio on boats, and a variety of other subjects.
He has previously given presentations to our club on RFI and EndFed antennas.
This time he comes in person with what I believe will be partly a new presentation he’s working on, and some information on POTA antennas, baluns. He also will be bringing some handouts. Please be there if you can. It’s going to be a Great Presentation geared to what we have been doing lately. Followed by a Great Q&A. I promised to fill the room so be there or be somewhere else.
Our Board Meeting this month is on Saturday the 22nd.
It will be at the usual location, J&M. 11am. Come at 9am for breakfast prior to the meeting.
