Announcement by KN6RBP
For Bands & Modes this week:
Our 4th Tuesday of and odd month exercise is HF FM. After out 10M net tonight we will go to 6 meters, 52.515 Mhz FM. As usual, during our eagle net, myself and maybe a few others will be monitoring the Hemet Hangout & KE6JGM repeater link.
Tomorrow, for our third Wednesday of the month, digital only after hours will be Simplex FM 70 CM 439.000 DCS 026. This is also our FM simplex frequency that we’ll use at the Diamond Valley Wildflower field trip.
Remember Bands & Modes now has a posted schedule. Details are on our website’s Repeater & Nets Page.
DV Wildflower Field trip has a new date:
It’s April 8th. The 8th is great cuz it’s not April fools day and it wont be raining. Right?
Please mark the date on your calendar’s. BTW this is another great opportunity to show the XYL what a great bunch we really are. Bring your radio’s and catch us on FM & C4FM. Information is on our website.
I would like to thank Dr. Fong for a truly outstanding presentation at our club meeting last week. It was clear from his presentation that he understood RF in ways that allow him to make Antenna design accessible to mere mortals. What’s even better is his ARRL award winning designs are available to us as a club but only once. This deal is only available to clubs that he gave a presentation for and then only once and within 90 days. Its a loophole that allows him to deviate from his pricing that all his sellers adhere to. This order must be done collectively so use the link below to see the order form we’ll be sending in. Then email me with your orders. If I don’t respond your order isn’t placed! I’m getting the dual band vertical and the roll up. This is a real opportunity for us to save some money on a great design. All orders must be confirmed by the end of our April Club Meeting.
my email: rick@kn6rbp.com. I would like to thank our Club Meeting attendees.
