Hyatt and Fisherman have requested that their nominations to be removed from consideration as LDARC directors. Hyatt cited a busy travel schedule and Fisherman health considerations. Hyatt will be keeping his appointment as database manager and Fisherman his as quartermaster. In addition, they have assured me that they will be attending most meetings, and continue as they have been for years. Thank you both for your ongoing contributions to our club.
This evening after 1/2 hour of normal Eagle Net operations. We will be having a bands and modes 40 m exercise. Today has been pretty good for HF and 40m should be fun this evening. So we hope to see you at our normal Eagle Net add 28.360 MHz USB and then at 8:30 will see you at 40 meters 7.238 MHz LSB. This exercise is for General class operators.
Tomorrow I’ll be giving Steve a break. I’ll be net control for the Digital Only Net tomorrow night. In addition to our usual round table, I’ll be conducting a pi-star exercise. It’s been a while since we’ve had one of these. We’ll go through the steps of configuring rooms, changing rooms with the radio as well as cross mode. Then after the digital net, we’ll QSY to C4FM Simplex on 2 meters 144.925 MHz C4FM. This will be our last digital net for a couple weeks so I hope to see there. Remember our club meeting is next Wednesday, November 16. Details are on our website at ldarc.org.
I would like to thank those of you who volunteered to help with our table at the annual Hemet Christmas parade. As you know it’s Saturday, December 3. Our first and possibly only planning meeting will be next Monday No 14th at 7 PM. Anybody who would like to attend the meeting is welcome. And of course if you’d like to volunteer on Saturday, December 3 we’d love to have you. We’ll be putting our best foot forward and showing the community what ham radio does, and can do.
Look forward to seeing you tonight on 10 and 40 m. Thanks for your time back to net control.
