Tomorrow night is the LDARC club meeting. It will be at the usual location, the Colonial Country Club and at the usual time 6:30PM. I will have my SWR meter for HT‘s. I’ll check your radio’s and antennas after the meeting. It’s quick and easy and you’ll probably want one of these meters when you see it. I’ll also doing a bit more website demonstration with some new stuff to see there during the meeting.
Oh, and we’re electing new officers and directors for next year. Another great reason to attend tomorrow’s club meeting. Non-members are always welcome to sit in.
Tonight after 30 minutes of regular Eagle net operations, we’ll QSY to 29.635 MHz FM. This is at the other end of the 10 m band and in this for general and extra class operators only. Technicians are encouraged to listen in. Anyone having trouble participating can reach me here on the club repeater. It’s always good to have a familiar meeting place when you get lost so let’s see how 10m in FM mode works between us in this little valley. Who knows where we will wind up from there 40m wasn’t all that great last week but I think it shows promise tonight. I hope to hear you on 10m at 28.360mhz upper side band at 20:00. Then at 20:30 hrs we’ll QSY to the other end of the 10m band for FM operations at 20:30.
The Lee DeForest amateur radio club is proud to be part of this year’s, City of Hemet Christmas Parade. We will have a table set up at the end of the route. Stop by and say hi after the parade. If you’d like to help out raise your hand during rollcall.
