Bands & Modes 2-27-24
I would like to congratulate AI6ZW for winning our very first LDARC HF Contest last Tuesday.
HF conditions weren’t that great but Steve managed to find a couple stations on 75M.
That gave him 4 points making him this month’s winner,
and recipient of a genuine LDARC Ataboy.
The HF contest is held every third Tuesday. It starts at 8:30 on 10M 28.360 after our regular Eagle Net operations. I wonder who will win next month?
Details are available the website with tonight’s announcement and on the Bands & Modes page.

Or maybe you would rather build your own? Marcos (our club Vise President), gave a terrific demonstration of his home made antennas, at last weeks meeting. KN6UNL is taking names for our Open Stub J-Pole Clinic. For around $30.00 in parts you can build your own with us as a group. These antennas have more gain than a conventional J-Pole, and are fun to make. Marcos is also conducting a 10M Ladder Line Clinic, like the one he showed us at last weeks club meeting.
Reach out to Marcos for details. Thank you KN6UNL for making all this happen,
and for helping us build it ourselves.
